Security Breach in online virtual shopping network Second Life exposes the fake identities to real world crime. The Fake People Project(tm) cries foul. James Tiptree of the Fake People Network stated today that “Fake IDentities have rights also. This crime must go virtually punished. Fake People should condemn the actions as they open the floodgates of possible civil rights violations against Fake IDentities. Fake People have little recourse to protect their rights when they are targeted as criminals and branded as unreal.” Jaenelle Lustworth, a Fake Person from Terra Nova, said “I know theyre going to come after me. Its like the third level war orcs have teamed up with the klu klux klan and are trying to bring racism, bigotry, and persecution to virtuallys everywhere.
