Finance: A.I.G. Financial Meltdown Revives Dead Fiction Author
The recent bailout of insurance giant A.I.G. has brought back a dead author from the grave. Jack London, known for his early 20th century stories of the wild Alaskan frontier, was reached at the Pineview Nursing home in Wasilla, Alaska, where he was recuperating from being dead for over half a century. “…Yes,” he spoke softly, “Its been difficult, being dead.. but the staff here are very accommodating. However, I think someone may be trying to kill me again.” Mr. London told the Bloggian staff reporter. “There seems to be a distinct lack of socialists in this town.” Upon being told that the reason he was recently reveived, namely, the recent Federal seizure and control of the insurance monolith A.I.G. and the banks, however, he seemed to be overjoyed. “Really! Thats wonderful. Now I just have to get out of Wasilla, here, and get to Washington as soon as possible!” Upon being told there might not be an economy left by the time he could travel, though, Mr. London fell back into a deep recession, which doctors are currently monitoring.
